Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 1 January 2026

These Terms & Conditions govern your access to and use of the SFO Assessment & Benchmarking System (the "Service"), operated by Advanced Management Solutions ("AMS", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these terms.

1. The service

The Service provides a strategy execution maturity assessment, scoring, aggregation and benchmarking tool. Assessment results, benchmark comparisons and generated recommendations are informational management analysis. They are not professional, legal, financial or investment advice, and you remain responsible for the decisions you take on the basis of them.

2. Accounts and eligibility

You must provide accurate registration information and are responsible for all activity under your account and for keeping your credentials confidential. You must be authorised by your organization to submit its data. Notify us promptly of any unauthorised use.

3. Acceptable use

You may not use the Service to break the law, infringe another party's rights, upload malicious code, attempt to gain unauthorised access to any system or account, scrape or resell the benchmark data, reverse engineer the Service, or interfere with its operation or with other customers' use of it.

4. Subscriptions, billing and cancellation

Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring subscription through our payment processor, Stripe. Fees are stated on the pricing page and exclude applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You may cancel at any time through the billing portal; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and, except where required by law, fees already paid are non-refundable. We may change prices on notice, effective at your next renewal.

5. Your data

You retain ownership of the assessment data, entity records and other content you submit. You grant us the licence needed to host, process, back up and display that content in order to operate the Service for you. We process personal data in line with our privacy practices and applicable law, and we do not sell it. Aggregated, de-identified statistics that cannot reasonably identify you or your organization may be used to improve the Service and its benchmarks.

6. Third-party services

The Service relies on third parties including Stripe for payments and Google, Microsoft, LinkedIn and Facebook for optional single sign-on. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms, and we are not responsible for their availability or acts.

7. Intellectual property

The Service, its software, design and compiled benchmark datasets remain the property of AMS and its licensors. Nothing in these terms transfers ownership of them to you. The Balanced Scorecard and Strategy-Focused Organization concepts are the work of their respective authors; references to them here are descriptive and do not imply affiliation or endorsement.

8. Availability

We aim to keep the Service available and secure but do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may modify, suspend or discontinue features, and will give reasonable notice of material changes that adversely affect a paid plan.

9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law the Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits, revenue, goodwill or data. Our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the fees you paid us in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

10. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access for material breach of these terms, non-payment, or where required by law. You may close your account at any time. On termination we will make your data available for export for a reasonable period before deletion.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. Material changes will be notified by email or in-app before they take effect, and continued use after that date constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable there, and the courts of Ontario have exclusive jurisdiction, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections in your place of residence.
